Plagiarism Policy

How JOTS handles plagiarism, duplicate publication, and unattributed reuse.

Last reviewed: 25 August 2025

Originality

Submitted work must be original and must not be under review elsewhere. Authors should cite sources accurately and identify any overlap with related publications.

Similarity checks

Similarity reports may be used to support editorial assessment. Reports are interpreted by editors rather than by a fixed percentage alone.

Concerns after publication

Confirmed plagiarism, redundant publication, inappropriate text recycling, or citation manipulation may lead to correction, expression of concern, retraction, or other publication-record action.
